Stop calling it soft skills!
3/20/2016
That’s what Elad Levinson declared in a blog.  Paraphrased, here are Mr. Levinson’s description of soft skills:
1.  Being interested in the experience of others
2.  Listening well
3.  Holding high-stakes conversations
4.  Learning self awareness, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness
5.  Training the brain to focus sharply and at depth
6.  Holding oneself accountable

He prefers to call these human skills.  He suggests that calling them soft skills makes them seem expendable.  However, he gives no suggestion as to how employees might be trained and assessed on such skills.  (Read more at at https://www.td.org.Publications/Blogs/Management-Blog/2016/02/Stop-Calling-It-Soft-Skills? +)

Lesson-Up.net provides lesson plans with content and attitude assessment on over sixty defined soft technical skills, including Mr. Levinson’s above list.
