According to a survey by the Association of American Colleges and Universities, 93% of employers reported that soft technical skills such as critical thinking, communicating clearly, and solving complex problems were more important than an undergraduate major.
Other employers preferred such soft technical skills as: > getting along with co-workers > engaging in critical thinking > articulating ideas > solving problems on the fly
As one employer said, "I’ve never fired an engineer for bad engineering, but I have fired an engineer for lack of teamwork."
