What is a "flipped classroom?"
5/31/2015
A "flipped classroom” is a learning environment where learners hear/watch/read a lecture or informational piece regarding the content of the course before class.  When they come to class, they are ready to discuss/practice/apply the concepts through in-class learning activities.  This is the reverse or "flip” of a traditional classroom where  learners came to class to hear a lecture or watch a demonstration, after which they leave and do home work.  In a "flipped classroom,” the instructor provides the instruction, usually in the form of a short, locally-produced video lecturette or demonstration which learners can watch repeatedly online anytime before coming to class.

Every Lesson-Up lesson plan contains step-by-step detail on how to teach the soft technical skills by flipping your classroom.
