Are you setting yourself apart?
5/28/2017
Are you setting yourself apart from the other job applicants?  You can, you know, with your soft skills, according to Maggie Kimberl in her April 27, 2017 article on Setting Yourself Apart with Soft Skills.  Mention your soft skills in your job application, your resume, even in an interview.  Which soft skills?  Kimberl suggests these five:
> Leadership
> Team Player
> Written Communication
> Problem Solving
> Verbal Communication
And where can you learn these skills?  Unfortunately, there are few, if any, courses on these topics, and any existing courses tend to be theoretical rather than applied. According to the Pew Research Center, 72% of people believe that each individual person is solely responsible for learning these soft technical skills on their own.  Most professors concur that you are going to have to work on these skills outside of class.

There is hope from light at the end of the tunnel.  Www.Lesson-Up.net provides training with credentials on the above and many additional soft technical skill topics.
