I have a young friend in college who wants to get a an internship, especially one with DISNEY in Florida. She sent her resume with her application. DISNEY responded asking for her Accomplishment Resume. They prescribed that this resume should highlight three or more of her accomplishments or achievements by showing the "CAR” of each. > Challenge: What was the problem, the task, the scope, the nature of the challenge? Examples: Organizing a fund raiser. Digitizing the school’s sports stats. Serving as captain of the volleyball team. > Action: What did you do? What was your involvement in each of the three CARs? > Result: What was the outcome? What happened – good or bad – from the experience, more specifically, what did you learn from each CAR?
According to a recent issue of MONEY MAGAZINE, prospective employers want to know more than merely the information on a "standard” resume. They want to know what you’ve accomplished and what you’ve learned that may contribute to future challenges on the job.
The lesson plan on Getting the Job gives more details.
