On Page 9 of Section 2, Debra Auerbach reported on a CAREER BUILDER survey to learn the most popular soft skills employers are looking for when hiring.  Here’s their top 10 list and the % of each:
1.   Strong work ethic – 73%
2.   Dependable – 72%
3.   Positive attitude – 72%
4.   Self-motivated – 66%
5.   Team-oriented – 60%
6.   Organized and can manage multiple priorities – 57%
7.   Works well under pressure – 57%
8.   Effective communicator – 56%
9.   Flexible – 51%
10. Confident – 46%

Sixteen % say that soft skills are more important than hard skills when evaluating candidates for a job.  Overall, 77% of employers advised job applicants to highlight soft skills in a resume.
