CPAs need soft skills, too, according to Robert Half in his Salary Guide at roberthalf.com/salary-center.   
Employers are clamoring for strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in new (accounting) hires.  Companies also seek individuals who are collaborative, team-oriented, and able to demonstrate initiative.
